The chances of knowing exactly what you want to do are very slim. There are so many variables to consider: What do you like to do? Where would you want to live? How much do you want to make? Does any of that actually matter? Well, as hard as it is to figure that out, there is something even harder for others to understand. So hard, in fact, there is only a one in 108 billion chance they will get it.
See, there are currently about seven billion people living in the world right now. And even more amazing is that researchers estimate that approximately 108 billion people have called Earth home. That means that in all the history of this planet, all the people who have ever lived here amount to about 108 billion. That’s crazy! And yet, there is something even cooler…
Of all the people who have ever lived, there…is…only…one…YOU.
See, there are some people who will claim to know you very well. Most of the time, it’s the people closest to you. For others, it is a dear friend. But in the end, there is only one person in your life who knows you and what it is that will work for you.
Look, I am not trying to say that you know everything; just having that thought shows that you don’t. But, here is the deal. You live in your head, and it is your desire to be content with your life that will drive you. Truthfully, those around you do know more than you give them credit for (remember this when you go to your parents with that whole, “You were right all along” business).
But, you were made for something, and you are the one who will control how that goes. And guess what? I have a one in 108 billion chance of finding someone just like you.
That’s because that won’t happen. There is only one you. And, that’s pretty awesome.
A one in 108 billion chance to help someone like you.
I will take those odds.
And, I have something for you.
I have written a book entitled, Degree or Not Degree: Five Ways to Know if College is For You. It is a book I have put together when I considered an idea that hasn’t changed for me since I started my profession over a decade ago.
College is not for everyone.
Now, I go into what I mean and how college is inevitable for some people, but what I wanted to do was open minds to the decision-making process of going to college and the five things you should consider when you are making this choice. I ask questions about what you like doing, how you value your time and energy, and of course, MONEY!
Now that I have your attention, I want to offer you a chance to preview the book before it is released this holiday season. Simply click here and I will send you the introduction to my book, Degree or Not Degree: Five Ways to Know if College is For You, for absolutely FREE. That’s a good price anywhere!
All I ask is that you comment on what you read here or on the Dr. Martinez YouTube video corresponding to this post. I look forward to sending out many copies of my introduction of Degree of Not Degree: Five Ways to Know if College is For You and reading your comments. Thank you for your time, and God bless you.
